The Kingdom Educator

a place for Christian school teachers, parents and students

About This Blog

Written by a Christian educator with 15 years of experience in Christian school education as a teacher and administrator, and an additional 15 years of experience in the ministry of Christian education.

It is our desire to post information and facilitate communication among those people who are involved in Christian schools, including teachers, administrators, staff, parents and students.  We want to encourage your decision, enhance your experience, inform you of issues related to your involvement in a Christian school, disciple you by keeping you up to date on what is going on in the education world, and give you a forum to express your view, share your discoveries and ideas, and vent your frustrations.

We believe the goal of Christian school education is the ministry of discipleship in training and inspiring the future leadership of the church.  We recognize that God has given parents the primary responsibility to educate their children and we desire to develop a school system which parents can engage in a trusting partnership.  In order to accomplish this goal, our vision includes several steps:

1.  To work together as believers to make Christian school education accessible and affordable to any families in the church who want to take advantage of the opportunity.

2.  The Bible is the written Word of God, and is the source of God’s revealed truth.  As a discipleship ministry of the church, Christian schools should integrate its principles and truths into every aspect of their curriculum, as well as teaching those principles and truths as a class on a daily basis.

3.  To encourage a level of academic excellence which allows Christian schools to remain free from the interference of the state in accreditation and mandated academic standards.  As Christians, the education we provide to our constituents should be as academically superior as it is spiritually and scripturally sound.

4.  To avoid requiring teachers and administrators to adhere to state certification requirements by implementing our own qualifications and requirements, including at least 6 hours of college level studies in Bible.

Thanks for coming on over and joining us.

We are currently developing a statement of faith.

  2. Thanks for visiting, Ty. Your school site is linked, and I’ll link your association website as well.

Spread the word about our blog. We’re trying to be an advocate for Christian schools, believing that by linking people from different schools and different places, we can come up with some ideas, solutions to problems, and encouragement and inspiration to promote Christian school education.

I am wondering if you would consider linking to Nurturing Faith and listing Christian Schools International under Christian School Organizations on your blog?

    Blessings on your work,

  5. Thanks for this blog. Education is so much on the minds of parents and you are giving them a safe place to think about the issues.

Keep up the good work and thank you for listing DiscoverChristianSchools.com – our site, too, is an aid to parents – almost 500 every day.
